ENTJ & ESTJ: Do You Relate To This?
This is something that I noticed about me and my ENTJ best friend.
One of my HS friend asked me if I wanna joined him and his friends to spend the weekend together at some cottage near the beach. I said yes and I took my ENTJ best friend with me. Me, my ENTJ, my HS friend, and his friends met at a meeting point and continued our journey to the beach by private bus.
First Impression
At first impression, me and my ENTJ looked quiet, mature, and reserved. We didn't look shy or uncomfortable.
Dress
I noticed that we have similar fashion style, but different taste. We both likes solid color, we likes to match our clothes, we don't like laces or ruffles or ribbons or pictures, and we don't wear more than two colors at one time. But her chosen colors are more neutral and "safe", while I prefer eye catching and unusual colors.
That day, my ENTJ wore dark purple jacket, white shirt, white short, and black sandal. I was wearing shocking pink shirt, khaki trouser, and shocking pink sandal. See what I'm saying? Match, solid color, yet different.
At The Bus
When others started to have chit chat and joking to each other, me and my ENTJ stay out of it and were very quiet. My ENTJ put on her MP3 and slightly looking at the street, oblivious to her surroundings.
I used my five sense to observing my surroundings. I studied the jokes, the conversations, the mimics, the dress, the behavior, the street, the bus, the clouds, everything. I gather all the informations and analyze it, and when I was analyzing everything, I looked like lost in my own thoughts.
Jokes
When we got there at the cottage, we had dinner together and started the conversation. We joke, we laughed, we asked and answered, we had fun. Our Extrovertness shining brightly.
When joking, I kinda "go with the flow" and use exaggerate body language. Since I had studied them before, I adapted very easily and clicked others very smoothly. It was like I was one of their cliques all this time. My jokes goes like this. I was playing hand gesture with some guy, when his friend started to joke with me.
Her: "Hey, you're touching my husband!" (just a joke, he wasn't her husband)
Me: (exaggerate body language) "Oh, really?! Just so you know, YOUR husband is MY gigolo. I'm paying him for tonight."
While my ENTJ kept her calmness. She didn't go with the flow, she's out of the flow. Her jokes contains witty remarks that was out of their joking style. Like this one.
A guy: "I'm wondering what my girlfriend is doing right now." (just a joke, he doesn't has any girlfriend)
ENTJ: (plain face and neutral tone) "I bet she's dating your boyfriend."
Bed Time
When the dinner was over and the conversations started to get dull, and everyone was started to play poker or watching TV, me and my ENTJ sneak out to our room to rest. We didn't enjoy too much frivolous conversation.
On bed, we didn't talk to each other. My ENTJ put her MP3 again and played with her cellphone, texting her boyfriend or playing facebook.
While I lay beside her, completely lost in my own thoughts again. I ignored every call and text. I also stopped visiting facebook since months ago. I even removed 70% of my friends from my facebook friend list.
I was processing every single thing that had happened that day. Reviewing every scene, every situation, every sentences. Took explicit informations, dig hidden informations, analyzing everything over and over again until I lost my consciousness and fell asleep.
Protective
Me and my ENTJ are very protective to each other, but we have different way in expressing it.
My ENTJ use calm manner and try to rationalize things. Like when one of my HS friend's friends tried to teased me and said that he thinks I'm crazy for saying such and such. My ENTJ reaction was like: "She's not crazy. That's just the way she is. Blah3x..."
Me: (making funny faces behind her for no reason)
The guy: "Errr... okayyy..." (chuckled and left)
While I'm more straight-forward and intimidating. Like one of the guys tried to teased her. She was being polite and gave plain-smile. I took a stand right in front of him.
Me: (glared at him and speak in intimidating deep voice) "Cut off your dullness! Be gone!"
ENTJ: (rofl)
The guy: "Ah, I sense the danger. I shall leave." (big grin and ran)
Back Home
When the vacation was over, we're back to the city by private bus. My HS friend asked if I wanna join him and his friends to eat meat ball at some small restaurant. I said no. When they left, me and my ENTJ went to some expensive restaurant to spoil ourselves in fine dining.
I noticed that this is our another similarity: we always do the best we can in every situation (job, romance, family, friends, etc), being the top in everything we do, and we also expect the best that we can have. We don't mind to spend more for comfort, excellent quality, and luxury.
Are there any ENTJ or ESTJ that relate to this? Is there anything you would like to add?

Momma
I had this crazy conversation with my bestie about the the crazy things our mom said and did. Then, I start to wonder, what kind of momma I will be?
This is out of speculation/ based on who I think I would be:
1) Since I know MBTI, I would observe my child like the most amazing creature on earth. I would provide education which they are naturally good in, and make them the best at it. I will not force them to adhere to society's viewpoint of what's good and what's not. Basically on what they are naturally good at. I will make sure they are happy.
2) I would cook different kinds of food everyday. Sometimes, it may be a little too weird and my children would be my guinea pigs. They might either enjoy or grumble everytime I come up with a new dish.
3) I might not always be at home. :( I will teach my children to be independent. Go to school in the morning, probably rest then tuition/classes/sports then at night, I will sit with them to talk about their day. I might not be the one waking them up, picking them from school and so on.
4) House chores. I will do them for the sake of doing them. Probably will hire a part-time maid once a week to do the cleaning stuff. My husband would most likely be a J. Someone neat and organized. He would be the one putting things in order.
5) I will be strict with my children. No means no. It would hurt me to see them cry or feel sad when I scold or punish them. Probably I would give in due to guilt but I will try to impose discipline on them. My husband will be the one punishing them. He will be the bad guy. LOL
6) I will dress my baby in a bee suit, a bunny suit or a carrot suit and bring him/her out to the mall.
7) I will have a family outing thing every Sunday. My husband must be someone who loves family and keen on these stuff.
8) I will have less than 4 kids.
9) My kids will be my personal slaves who are willing. The power of psychology manipulation. LOL.
10) I will pay my bills online.
11) My sister would drop in once in a while to wash the baby's poop or to cook for us.
12) My family would not face financial problems.
13) I will be at home 50% of the time.
14) My husband loves kids.
15) I will teach them the meaning of life and let them experience various things.
16) I will not spoil them with expensive gadgets or toys.
17) I will make them work in order to realize the value of money.
18) My children will look like red tomatoes.
19) I will teach them how to avoid and deal with conflicts.
20) I know I may not be perfect, with wanting to live a life of my own and not always being at home 24/7, but I will be there every Sunday, every night to sneak into their bedrooms to give them a kiss, always surprising them on their birthdays and Christmas and cook their favourite meals with not too much altering. I will listen to them and understand how they feel. Give them the support they need. I will also not argue in front of them with my husband. I will not let my problems be theirs. I will also never let them face divorce. I will be all I wish I could have, as a child.

Plastic Surgery
As mentioned in one of my earliest post, I once desired to have a plastic surgery.

Here are some interesting facts:
Do you really rely on other people's opinions, approval and admiration to feel good about yourself?

It's not that I'm so hideous or I look like an ape that even a male ape would be terrified of me; it's just that... What's wrong with wanting to be perfect?
Perhaps I should start with botox to slim down my ever-chubby-hamster-like face.
Sure, it looks alright with this age, but as I grow older, those cheeks will sag and I will look like a bull dog.

I have the typical asian nose, how about making it look a little sharper?

An increase in a cup or two would make me look super delicious....
If I take all of these surgeries, would I would be considered as having perfect physique?
Will I be able to look good in photographs, that when anyone sees my picture, be it a guy or a girl, would want to add me in facebook or any other social network?
Will I get extra advantage or benefit when I am in public places?
Will the waiter give me an extra muffin when I dine at Kenny Rogers?
Will the guards allow me into private premises without much questioning?
Will I be able to find my one true love, the perfect man who strives for perfection like me?
Will he stay with me, not lay his eyes on any other women because I am the only one in his world?
Will I receive flowers everyday that my house would stink of flower corpses?
Is plastic surgery an acceptable norm?

The K-pop thing is pretty popular nowadays.
You cannot deny that it's the looks that attracts you first, then the music later.

Here are some interesting facts:
- 76 percent (!) of Korean women in their 20s and 30s have undergone plastic surgery. Most of them were epicanthoplasty (i.e. the "double-eyelid surgery".)
- 25 percent of Korean mothers who have daughters between the ages of 12 and 16 suggested plastic surgery to their daughter
- 27.4 percent of Korean college graduate job seekers (19 percent of men, 34.1 percent of women) thought they did not fare well in the interview because of their looks. 28.5 precent of job seekers have already undergone plastic surgery or have planned plastic surgery in order to perform better in the job market
A Korean friend once said that it's normal that girls ask for plastic surgery for their 16th or 18th birthday present.
Have this widely popular Korean celebrities' good looks culture affect the Koreans?
As in the pressure of meeting up to a certain expectation of beauty?
I once joked that I would save money for 5 years then go for a rhinoplasty.
But it didn't seem funny to me anymore, when I saw a friend of mine heading to Taiwan and coming back with a new nose.
And another friend who enthusiastically told me about her plans for plastic surgery.
Is their desire for acceptance, to be loved and admired that strong?
Are they that desperate?
Can plastic surgery really grant them happiness?
What if the plastic surgery went beyond their wildest expectations?
Do you really rely on other people's opinions, approval and admiration to feel good about yourself?Have you ever placed yourself so low that you aren't even capable of loving yourself?
Do you really place on your source of happiness on other people's hands?
That they are capable of making you go rocket high and rock bottom with just a few words?
Are beautiful people really happy all the time?
With so many love from many people, even strangers?
Will jealous monsters creep out from these people's souls and try to destroy you and tear you down?
How does it feels like to be compared to other beautiful people?
Do beautiful people win all the time?
Will your boyfriend or husband ever cheat on you because you are so perfect already?
Then why are divorces happening so frequently in the celebrity world?

I had this serious acne problem for a few months.
I did not dare to go out because of my looks.
Sure, I missed out fun and opportunities.
Then, one day, I look at the mirror and started to feel sad.
I asked myself:
Why do I not love myself?
Why do I want to change so much about myself?
I touch my face, my cheeks, my nose and my forehead.
I looked at my tired eyes.
How much I have been straining them, putting them to so much work.
Had I not love myself, like how I love and care for other people?
I smiled and my braces show.
Did I not dare to smile because I look look ugly and turn people off?
Is it that I care too much about what other people think that I do not even allow myself to smile, to even be happy?
Did my friends really shy away from me because of the way I look?Did my family reject me?
No.
If one were to go for a plastic surgery and find love after that.
Is that true love?
I thought true love is someone that loves you for whoever you are.
For better or for worse.
Is true love based solely on physical attraction?
I am going to quote my buddy;
"F*** YOU, I AM AWESOME."
So love yourself,
And not let anyone define and judge you.
P/S: This is just a post about learning to love yourself. I am not against people who wants to plastic surgery or did already. What I have posted about the benefits of being beautiful, is not what I desire to have. For example, wanting my friends list on facebook to hit maximum; if I wanted that, it would happen long time ago but right now, the number 800 just seem so auspicious to me. This is just a general assumption of why people want to be beautiful. And I am actually satisfied with my meatballs.

2) My hair is not thick enough
3) My features ain't sharp enough
In conclusion, I look like a freak.

Misinterpretations of Rich Dad Poor Dad Books
I picked up Robert Kiyosaki's first book at the age of 18. That book changed my viewpoint of life almost instantly. I have read most of the Rich Dad's series, and have almost the whole collection of his books. So basically, I am in the right position to state my viewpoints.
Robert's books are MISLEADING.
Most people are misinterpreting his books, especially those who are still studying.
Here are some of his philosophies:
- Schools don't train us to be rich, they train us to be employees. And we cannot be rich by simply being employees.
- We have to create our own path, our own business in order to create our own wealth. We must not be afraid of failures.
- The government tax us for what we've earned. Why giving them our hard-earned money?
- Why use your own money to build a business? We can always seek financial aid if our business idea is good enough. We can obtain money from banks (governments are always supporting SMEs', so there's always a fund allocated for that) or even people we know who simply have money but do not know what to do with them.
- NEVER invest in FDs, insurance, mutual funds and all those financial instruments because they do not generate returns good enough.
- Never be afraid to work for free. Find a mentor to help you.
There are many more but I am just listing a few. If you're a student or a fresh graduate, you have to read this. Just as any excited young individual, the passion and fire is wild and fierce, I headed to Rich Dad's Advice. As I explained the following points above, I will also include my personal experience.
Schools don't train us to be rich, they train us to be employees. And we cannot be rich by simply being employees. There is a certain level of truth in that. But you have to bear in mind that, (if you know MBTI) there are many different types of people out there. Some are meant to lead, some are meant to follow and some are meant to create. What does the above sentence tells you? To not place too much importance or emphasize on your studies? To start a new business immediately? Do not listen to your parents or teachers, because if they are so good, they would be rich. True enough that our education system do not provide us financial education and we must go out there, test the waters, be practical and embark on your journey of entrepreneurship.
As mentioned, I was 18 when I read the book. The idea that I interpreted is that I need to learn as much as possible. So I picked up property books, forex books, stock books, whatever financial books I can get my hands on out there.
I skipped class because I have to work. I earned more than sufficient income from my home tutoring, more than a fresh graduate's salary. But I wanted more. So I worked on weekends and whichever projects that my company gave me. (I was working as a promoter, due to good relationships with my supervisor, I was able to get higher paying jobs than other promoters, from Rm100-RM150 per day)
I completed my foundation course in May 2009, with CGPA of 3.09.
"Not bad," I thought, despite skipping classes and studying last minute.
In late 2009, I was offered a job as a loan consultant. My job basically requires me to get customer to sign up for Standard Chartered Bank's loan packages, whether it is a commercial property or a residential property. The commission scheme was attractive.
From there, that's when my real journey started.
I learned that there are certain requirements for loans to be approved. And no doubt, out of the 10 loans I submitted, only 2 gets approved.
With the little money I obtained, although I was being discouraged by my friends and family that I was wasting my time, I continued working. Because rich dad said that you must learn to work for free for long-term benefits. I was learning sales and financing. I thought I was on the right track. I took up another job as an insurance agent, to learn about more about personal financial education.
Over the one year and half, my grades were between 2.8-3.0. I didn't care because my studies will not interfere with my future plans. My plan is to earn as much money and learn as much as I can so I can start investing in properties and start my own business and be a millionaire by 25. I skipped class so often and I hardly touched my tutorials. I was amused and amazed with myself, being able to manage so many things.
Until last year September results were out. My GPA was 1.9, below par. My PTPTN loan was pulled back by the government and I had to pay for my own fees on the next semester. With the addition of the subject I failed, the bill amounted to RM5250. The money I earned from the property project I was working on was used to fund that semester's bill.
Not only my CGPA has dropped to 2.4, so was my confidence. During internship application, I could not get accepted to investment banks such as OSK and CIMB. Even MAS wouldn't accept me.
That's when I stopped and start to wonder.
Have my thirst and hunger for success have defeated me instead of putting me ahead of others?
Will a university education really able to get me that far?
I watched my friends, those on their entrepreneur journey, having failures after failures.
End of the day, not only they lost money and time, they lost trusts and friendships.
During my course of work with the bank, I have an edge over other bankers because I was able to write better proposals with the simple addition of financial ratios which manage to get loans approved. Of course, I was also helped by my manager. I was selling investment-linked funds and was able to sell because of my knowledge and understanding of the equity market.
The point here is, with the knowledge you obtain from your course, if you know how to use it, it will be extremely valuable. Why do people that when they graduate, they tend to switch fields?
Not everybody is blessed being able to know what they want to do, what interests and is suitable for them at early age.
Let me make this a little more clear for you. No doubt Robert's books have really good concepts, that can be applied but you have to know that the market will always change.
Our parents asked us to study hard and get a job because they were from the industrial and post-war age where stability matters most.
Since we are on the information age now, that advice do not apply. And since there are so many people with a degree nowadays and the job market is extremely competitive, being an entrepreneur is the way to go, since many are looking for jobs nowadays.
At first I thought entrepreneur youths are rare and admired them greatly, but when I widen my horizon a little bit, there are many of them, most of them struggling and failing to see something obvious. They refused to see that being an entrepreneur is more than having balls and taking
risk. They do not recognize risks and fail to manage them, making the same mistake over and over again, failing again and again. Starting a new business again and again, thinking the previous fail because the idea weren't good enough. I mean sure, Robert asked us to never give up and never be afraid of failures. But there's one thing you are missing out; you forgotten and do not know what is your true value, since you diversify so much.
Few years ago, I attended this seminar organized by MoneyMastery. They called it a wealth coaching programme. I attended it because I thought it would be Robert Kiyosaki giving a talk, but it happened to be his student, Mr. K.C. See. His speech is alright with the quotes he got from the book. He was trying to promote a course, a wealth mentoring course at a price of RM10k +. In this course, you will be put into a group, brainstorm a business idea then bring it out. They will promise to mentor you with the various expertise but for the first rm10 000 you earn, you must contribute it to MoneyMastery.
Sounds like a good deal right, if they are able to help you to achieve wealth?
Think about this. You are being placed in the group. As a student or a fresh graduate, you may think your youth and creative ideas will be an asset to the group. In that group, there may be uncles or aunties with money(if they have money, then why are they there?), maybe some professional accountant or some legal assistant, engineer...they may all have something to offer.
What do you have to offer?
If you say your brilliant creative ideas would be your best contribution, then these people in the group would not want you. Because ideas are just ideas, unless you patent it. Forget about patenting, you wouldn't want to spend money on that intellectual property yet to claim its yours. Easily these people in the group, who would be your partners, can kick you out.
They do not rely on your expertise.
Or your capital.
To get the business going.
If you say school is useless, then you are just no different from any other uneducated lost people on the street.
School is where we get to sharpen and to be an expert at a certain field.
Then later, after being a master at our field, we form a business to generate more wealth for us.
Why is Bill Gates rich?
He was an expert at computers.
Why is Warren Buffet rich?
He was an expert at investing.
Why is Donald Trump rich?
He was an expert at real estates.
In order to be successful, we must be focused.
Especially if you wish to be an entrepreneur.
From one of Robert's books, "Before you quit your job"
He said there is 5 major segments of a business.
1. Product
2. Finance.
3. System
4. Legal
5. Communication.
Which would you choose to specialize?
(This post will be continued in the future.....)
*Don't give me the crap of Bill Gates didn't complete his education at Harvard so even the best school may not help you to generate wealth. Bill Gates was a genius in computer, what about you?
*Warren has no professional investing qualifications but he has the passion in investment. What is your passion? -Besides, with the complication of financial instruments nowadays, higher education is getting more important. During his time, he invested in good stocks which carried the value until now, which explains his wealth.
*Donald Trump was very proud that his son did well academically.
