Going Under

"Going Under" is one of my favourite songs from Evanescence. I didn't quite understand the lyrics when I was younger until now. It's about being emotional about someone you cannot get over, no matter how hard you try. The phrase "Going Under" means sinking into depression. It's as if you can't help but to dive into a pool of sadness whenever you think of someone, even when the person may not be right for you.

I have been listening to this song by Evanescence for ages and Now only I realized the meaning of the lyrics! Silly me! Here is the interpretation.. [yes, it's from me but you will find it hard to deny my interpretation of this song's meaning ;) ]

My Immortal is actually a break-up song, which reminds you of a person that you can never get out of your head. And that person lives in you, like an immortal.
